1. What is Modern and traditional Wushu ?

Wushu is categorised as Modern & Traditional Wushu. Traditional wushu is the root of wushu, and is also a method of attack and defense. Its practice has surpassed a simple means to an end and it is deeply intertwined with ethical and moral principles. The types of Traditional Wushu are Wing Chun, Chin Woo, or Shaolin.

Modern Wushu are forms of contemporary Chinese martial arts that blends elements of performance and martial application. The types of Modern Wushu are Chang Quan, Nan Quan and Taiji Quan.

2. What you will learn in Rong Seng Classes ?

We teach Modern Wushu Taofu (pattern) which is in line with guidelines set out by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF); from International Basic Taolu, 1st International Taolu, 2nd International Taolu to 3rd International Taolu. The types of Taolu taught include Chang Quan, Nan Quan and Taiji Quan.

3. What is the benefit of learning modern Wushu ?

Wushu training emphasizes quickness, explosive power, and natural, relaxed movement. The wushu practitioner must combine flexibility with strength, speed with flawless technique, fierce intent with effortless execution. In the training process, we will focus on building stamina, stretching, flexibility, strength and concentration.

4. What is the suitable age for my children to start Wushu ?

We accept any children aged 6 and above. All children must be able to understand and follow the coach's instructions.

5. How much should I pay if I want to join Rong Seng ?

On first class, you will be required to pay Registration Fees and Deposit (total of RM100), together with our monthly fees (please check with us for our payment schedule).

6. Are there any special requirements for attire ?

Yes, students are required to wear a uniform which includes shirt and pants (RM 95 per set), and wushu shoes (RM 45).

7. Why choose us ?

Our Coaches have many years of experience in teaching at various schools and training centres. We have trained more than 1,000 students over the years. All Rong Seng Coaches have been/ are State Representatives and qualified coaches. We also attend courses regularly to improve our teaching skills and knowledge of Sports Science.

8. Rong Seng Activity ?

Please check out our gallery to find out more about our activities, such as camps, examinations and competitions. Our students are very active in participating in various competitions, e.g: open tournaments, state competitions, national games and SUKMA.

Every year, we organise two Training Camps for our students, which are also open to outsiders. Every alternate year, we will organise a “Hero Camp” for our students, where, aside from intensive wushu training, they are also encouraged to develop their independence and creativity through the various programs planned.

9. Future Plans ?

We are gearing up to train more athletes to represent us at the State and National levels. Aside from this, we also have plans to organise a Wushu Drama on stage by 2017.
